NEW YORK, NY — The NYC Food Film Festival announces event details regarding its 2011 schedule. More than 25 films will screen over four days, from October 13th to 16th at Tribeca Cinemas. Guests will taste what they see on the screen and more…

General Admission Tickets are available to all events and grant entry into one showtime and its afterparty.  A limited amount of VIP Tickets and Festival-wide VIP Passes are also available, which grant entry to a series of pre-parties and include a number of added premiums including VIP Seating, T-Shirt, Complimentary Snack at Saxon + Parole and more. The menus each at event will include food celebrated in the films and beer, wine and cocktail pairings by Festival Mixologist Allen Katz.

Today, also marks the kick-off of the Festival’s online contest.  Users who engage the Festival on Twitter will be eligible to win a number of different VIP Packages from the Festival’s network of providers, ranging from a VIP Ice Cream Pack from Ronnybrook Farms to our Grand Giveaway, an exclusive experience with Chef Brad Farmerie in Saxon + Parole’s kitchen.  There is no purchase necessary to enter. All users need to do is follow both @foodfilmfest and the handle of the partner offering the prize on Twitter to be eligible to win.

The 2011 NYC Food Film Festival is produced in association with the James Beard Foundation and a portion of ticket sales benefit the Food Bank For New York City.  The International Culinary Center is the exclusive culinary school of the Festival, and will engage its students with Festival events.

Go behind the scenes with Michelin-starred chef Brad Farmerie at AvroKO Hospitality Group’s newest restaurant, Saxon + Parole.  Start the evening with a glass of Champagne then head straight inside Saxon + Parole’s kitchen, abuzz with activity as dinner service is under way.  Your guide will be Executive Chef Brad Farmerie, and with him you’ll tour the stations, meet the cooks, sample items as they come off the stove, and maybe take a turn expediting.  Once your kitchen tour is complete, you’ll retire to Saxon + Parole’s stunning dining room.  There, you’ll be treated to a 6-course Chef’s Tasting Menu dinner, prepared for you by Chef Farmerie and custom paired with notable cocktails and wines.
