Carlen is a filmmaker, writer and photographer who first ate foie gras when she was 8 and first saw The 400 Blows when she was 9. She is a transplant from Laguna Beach, California, and she’s lived in Connecticut and Italy before moving to Brooklyn, probably for good. She’s been working in film in one way or another for several years now, and is committed to ensuring that awesome films get seen. Recently in her free time, she’s been teaching herself embroidery and how to not kill house plants.
